ScratchJr is the anti-Roblox. While other apps are trying to figure out how to squeeze five bucks out of your kid for a digital hat, ScratchJr is just sitting there being a useful tool for their brain.

It’s one of the few apps where 'screen time' doesn't feel like a compromise. It’s active, not passive. Your kid isn't rotting their brain watching unboxing videos; they're learning how to tell a computer what to do. If you have a tablet and a kid under 8, this should be the first thing you install.

Perfect for the 5-7 crowd. If they're 8 or 9 and have a decent attention span, they'll probably find this too 'babyish' and should move up to the full version of Scratch.
