The Roku app is a utility powerhouse masquerading as a streaming service. As a remote control and a keyboard, it’s a 10/10 and a total lifesaver for any household with the hardware.
As a content platform, it’s a bit of a junk drawer. There’s great stuff in there, but it’s buried under ads and unrated filler. Use it for the convenience, but don't treat it as a curated safe space for your kids to wander around in solo.
Best for parents and kids 7+ who are tech-savvy enough to use a remote but still need an adult to navigate the 'free' content minefield.
