Rory's Story Cubes isn't really a 'game' in the traditional sense—it's a tool for imagination. If you're looking for something with a complex rulebook and a winner, this isn't it.

But if you want something that gets your kids off screens and actually talking to you, this is a must-own. It’s one of the few things that actually delivers on the 'educational' promise without being boring.

No-BS: if your kid is the silent type who hates talking, they might find this exhausting. But for the average kid, it’s a goldmine of weird, funny moments that you’ll actually remember.

Best for ages 4 to 99. While the box says 6+, any kid who can string a sentence together can play with a little help, and adults actually use these for serious writer's block.
