A blank table and a box of shapes
TinkSnap opens on an empty canvas and a tray of shapes: squares, rectangles, triangles, circles, ovals, diamonds and stars. Kids drag them on, snap them together, resize, rotate and layer them, then color each piece or give it a texture. A Decor tab adds the details that make a build feel alive: eyes, windows, doors and flags. Most decor pieces come with Premium.
When the build is done, a Bring To Life button sets it moving (driving, bouncing, floating or dancing), and a wrecking ball smashes it to pieces for a fresh start. There are no scores, timers or wrong answers.
Ideas for kids who freeze at a blank page
An Ideas button opens starter builds (a castle, a boat, a robot, a rocket, a butterfly, a dinosaur, a flower) that kids can take apart and change, plus step-by-step guides that teach the tools. It gives a child who says "I don't know what to make" a way in, without taking the building away from them.
One purchase, no ads, nothing collected
The app is free to build with. A single $4.99 Premium purchase adds all decor pieces, all starter builds and guides, Magic Colors and textures, scene backgrounds, and 100 save slots, and the Premium screen lists all of it before the buy button. There are no ads and no subscription. Both app stores list it as collecting no data, the privacy policy says creations stay on the device, and there is no account, chat or online play. It carries Google Play's Teacher Approved badge for ages 6 to 12.
New, and small
Cinder Code released TinkSnap in summer 2026, and it has only a few ratings so far. For kids who want more to do inside the build, Toca Blocks adds a world to play in. For the youngest, Pok Pok is the calmer open-ended pick.
