Rainbow Friends is Five Nights at Freddy's lite built inside Roblox. Your kid and a handful of other players wander around a dark amusement park trying to pick up blocks or fuses while dodging oversized, brightly colored mascots named Blue, Green, and Orange. When a monster gets close, you press a button to hide under a cardboard box until they walk away.

It isn't deep, educational, or particularly complex, but as a playground thriller for upper-elementary kids, it works. There is no blood or realistic violence—just atmospheric dark rooms and abrupt jump scares accompanied by loud screeching audio when a player gets caught.

The real risk surface here isn't the game mechanics—it's Roblox itself. Because it takes place on public servers, your kid is playing alongside random users typing into open text chat. If your kid wants to play, toggle off open chat in Roblox's privacy settings and keep it to daytime play if they are sensitive to jump scares.
