A booth, a sign and a plaza full of strangers
Each server holds up to 28 players and a ring of empty booths. A kid claims one, types a message on the sign, and waits. Other players walk past and decide whether to send Robux. That is the loop: no levels, no quests and no way to win.
The fun for most kids is the show around it. Players dance at their booths, tip each other small amounts, cheer when someone lands a big donation, and hop between servers looking for generous ones. Most kids who open a booth collect little or nothing, which teaches its own lesson about how attention works online.
Giving now runs through Roblox Plus
Pls Donate used to work through game pass sales. A player made a pass, set a price and linked it to the booth; donors bought the pass, Roblox took a 30% cut, and the Robux could take up to a week to arrive. In 2026 Roblox added direct Robux transfers as a perk of its new Roblox Plus subscription, and the main Pls Donate game switched to them.
The rules that came with transfers are the part a parent needs:
- Only Roblox Plus subscribers can send Robux. Plus costs $4.99 a month.
- A kid under 16 needs a parent account linked to theirs before they can send or receive a transfer.
- Transfers are capped at 500 Robux a day and 1,000 a month, ten times higher with 2-Step Verification on.
- The receiver gets 90% of each transfer and the game keeps 10%.
A kid's own Robux can still go on passes like the 499-Robux Golf Cart or the 699-Robux Booth Painter, so spending limits in Roblox parental controls still matter.
It raises questions about money and asking
People call it the new lemonade stand, and the comparison holds up to a point: a clever sign and a friendly pitch do better than a sad one. A lemonade stand sells lemonade, though, and here the product is the ask itself.
That makes it a game to talk about. Ask what your kid would do with donated Robux, whether begging and pitching feel different to them, and what they would do if a stranger gave them a lot and then wanted something back. For the wider picture on Robux at home, see Robux, 'Pls Donate,' and Digital Drip.
If your kid likes showing off to other players but you would rather they had something to make, Theme Park Tycoon 2 gives them a whole park to design.
