This is genuinely good preschool television—critics loved it for a reason. The reboot respects the original's gentle spirit while updating production quality, and it delivers exactly what parents of young kids want: safe, positive, imaginative content with decent messages about cooperation and empathy.
That said, it's VERY young-skewing. If you have a 4-6 year old, this is excellent. If your kid is 8+, they'll probably tap out unless they're particularly into puppets or watching with a younger sibling. The pacing is deliberate, conflicts are minimal, and everything resolves nicely—which is perfect for the target demo but won't hold older kids.
The Apple TV+ exclusive placement is a bummer for accessibility, but if you have the subscription, this is one of the stronger kids' offerings on the platform.
