Here's the thing: critics gave this 88% but actual viewers rated it 5.9/10 on IMDb and a dismal 2.6/5 on Letterboxd. That gap tells you everything—this is probably one of those DC animated films that checks boxes on paper (strong female hero! mentorship! redemption!) but fails in execution.
The core concept is solid: Wonder Woman helping a troubled young woman escape a villain organization. But when audiences consistently rate something this low despite positive themes, it usually means wooden dialogue, rushed character development, or just plain boring pacing.
If your kid is a die-hard Wonder Woman fan, they'll probably sit through it once. But don't expect them to ask for a rewatch, and don't be surprised if they're on their phone halfway through. There are better DC animated films out there.
