Viki is essentially the 'cool, international cousin' of Netflix. If your kid is into K-Pop or anime, they’re going to find their way here eventually. It’s a fantastic resource for expanding their worldview beyond the US, and the language-learning potential is actually real, not just a gimmick.
That said, don't just hand it over and walk away. The 'timed comments' feature means they're basically watching TV in a room full of strangers who are all shouting at the screen. It’s mostly harmless fan-girling, but it’s still the internet. Turn off the comments if you want a 'safer' experience, and maybe stick to the well-known K-Dramas before diving into the deeper, weirder corners of the library.
