Victorious is peak 2010s Nickelodeon—a performing arts high school sitcom that's harmless but not particularly enriching. It's the show that launched Ariana Grande's career and gave us Victoria Justice, so there's nostalgia value for millennials and Gen Z parents.
The good: It's generally safe, features creative pursuits, and has catchy musical numbers. The bad: It follows every predictable sitcom formula, includes some mean-spirited humor that's played for laughs, and offers minimal depth beyond entertainment.
The show hasn't aged brilliantly—the humor feels dated, the fashion choices are questionable, and the laugh track is aggressive. But if your kid is into theater, singing, or just wants something light and silly, it's not going to rot their brain. Just don't expect any profound life lessons between the musical numbers and manufactured drama.
It's fine. That's really the verdict here. Fine. Not great, not terrible, just... fine.
