Screenwise Verdict

This is peak Rick Riordan. It’s the book where the Heroes of Olympus series finally finds its groove by bringing the whole gang together on the Argo II. It’s funny, fast, and surprisingly educational about Roman history and architecture.

Unlike some older series that feel 'cringe' to modern kids, Riordan’s voice still hits the mark. Just be prepared to have the next book, The House of Hades, ready to go immediately—the ending of this one is a brutal cliffhanger that hasn't lost its edge since 2011.
