Screenwise Verdict

This is the gold standard for strategy guides. In an era where kids usually just find a loud YouTuber to scream the solutions at them, having a physical, beautifully printed book to pore over is a massive win.

It rewards patience and attention to detail. If your kid is obsessed with Tears of the Kingdom, this isn't just a 'cheat book'—it's an encyclopedia for a world they love. It’s one of the few ways to get a kid to stop looking at a screen while still engaging with their favorite hobby.

Age Fit

While any Zelda fan will love the pictures, the text is dense. It’s perfect for ages 9 and up to read solo, but younger kids will need you to help them parse the more technical walkthroughs.

The production quality is massive; it's a coffee-table-worthy book that treats the game like a work of art.
Helps reduce frustration during some of the game's more obtuse segments, keeping the experience fun rather than stressful.

What to Watch For

It’s a massive spoiler machine. If your kid wants to discover things 'naturally,' keep this on a high shelf until they get stuck.
The physical 'Collector’s Edition' is heavy enough to actually hurt if someone drops it on their foot.
