Look, Teletubbies is safe—like, safer than a padded room. Four colorful creatures waddle around, hug, eat custard, and watch videos on their belly TVs. No conflict, no learning objectives, just vibes.

But here's the thing: it's from 1997, and it shows. The production quality, the bizarre costumes, the hypnotically slow pacing—it all feels like it was designed in a different era of child development theory. Many parents find it genuinely unsettling ("Why do they have TVs in their stomachs? Why is that baby sun laughing at me?").

Modern toddlers raised on Bluey's clever storytelling or even Cocomelon's bright colors often won't engage with Teletubbies at all. It's too slow, too weird, too... 1997. The TMDB rating of 4.5/10 tells you something.

If you have a very young, easily overstimulated baby who needs something gentle and repetitive, it might work for short periods. But don't expect it to hold attention or teach anything meaningful. It's comfort food TV for babies—and even then, there are better options now.
