TED Talks Daily is intellectual gold—genuinely enriching, thought-provoking, and often inspiring. But it's not a kids' podcast, and it's not even really a family podcast unless you're previewing episodes.
The problem is the daily feed pulls from the entire TED library, which means you might get a fascinating talk about octopus intelligence one day and a graphic discussion of gun violence or sexual assault the next. Some talks include swearing, others dive deep into trauma or controversial politics. It's designed for curious adults, not for playing in the car with kids in the back seat.
That said, TED has done the work for you—they've curated kid-friendly playlists that are absolutely worth exploring. If you want to introduce your kids to TED, start there. For teens who can choose their own topics and handle mature content, the daily feed is fantastic. For younger kids, it's a hard pass unless you're curating manually.
