This book is a total banger. Even though it came out in 2001, it hasn't aged a day because the art is so distinct and the message is universal. Unlike some 'lesson' books that feel like a lecture, Molly Lou Melon is just a fun story about a kid who is objectively 'weird' and doesn't give a rip about it.
It’s short enough for a quick bedtime read but has enough visual detail that your kid will actually stay on the page. If you're dealing with first-day-of-school jitters or a kid who's worried about their new glasses or braces, this is the one to grab.
