Every minute is a roll of the dice
The center of the screen is a Roll button. Press it and a slime appears, picked by odds that run from common to absurd: the game advertises slimes at 1 in 2.4 quintillion. Rare rolls come with big reveals, and the slimes go into an index of Base, Big, Huge, Shiny and Inverted versions to complete.
Equipped slimes fight enemy slimes automatically, so the coins and levels keep coming while a kid rolls. Coins buy upgrades and unlock new worlds with rarer slimes. Rebirthing resets that progress for a permanent luck multiplier, and the cycle starts again.
Luck is the thing to manage
A kid gets more luck from upgrades, potions, codes, joining the developer's Roblox group, and playing with friends. All of it points at the same goal: more rare rolls. That design makes it easy to keep playing and hard to find a stopping point, which is the main thing a parent has to manage.
The Robux side is mostly passes: Lucky Rolls for 75 Robux, Fast Roll for 299, VIP for 399 and Double Roll for 599. None is needed, and a monthly spending limit in Roblox parental controls keeps it contained. More on the code chase in Slime RNG Codes: Is Your Kid Chasing Luck or Just Gambling?.
Better places for a slime fan
Slime RNG is one of many Roblox RNG games, and among the gentler ones; Sol's RNG is the same idea with far less around it. A kid who loves the slimes themselves will get much more from Slime Rancher, where they catch, feed and breed slimes on a ranch they build.
