Look, this movie is not good. The critics were right—22% on Rotten Tomatoes tells you everything you need to know. It's safe, sure, and if your 7-year-old is obsessed with Scooby-Doo, they might have fun with it. But the humor is cringeworthy, the CGI looks ancient, and the whole thing feels like a cash-grab sequel that nobody asked for.
That said, it's harmless. There's nothing here that'll give your kid nightmares or teach them bad habits. It's just... aggressively mediocre. If you need 90 minutes of brain-off entertainment on a rainy afternoon and your kid loves the Scooby gang, fine. But don't expect anything memorable or worth rewatching.
Bottom line: It's watchable if you're desperate, but there are way better family movies out there. Even the original 2002 Scooby-Doo movie is more fun than this one.
