If you're looking for a safe, colorful distraction for a preschooler, this works. It’s Rugrats, but it’s been through a corporate car wash—shiny, sanitized, and a little less soulful than the original.
The 2021 reboot is the definition of 'fine.' It won't rot your kid's brain, and the imagination sequences are genuinely well-done, but it lacks the subversive wit that made the original a cross-generational hit. It's essentially a high-budget Nick Jr. show rather than a prestige cartoon.
