A charming fairy tale where the prince finds his 'happily ever after' with a brave knight instead of a princess.

Prince & Knight is a breath of fresh air. For decades, we've had the same 'prince saves girl' stories, and this book finally lets a different kind of love take center stage without making a big, dramatic deal out of it.
It’s colorful, it’s kind, and it’s a great way to show kids that there are all sorts of ways to build a family. It’s not 'educational' in the boring sense; it’s just a solid story that happens to be inclusive. Definitely worth a spot on the shelf.
Perfect for the 3-to-7 crowd. It's a board book/picture book, so older elementary kids will likely find the plot too simple, but it's a staple for early childhood libraries.
It’s a sweet, classic-feeling fairy tale that swaps out the tired 'save the princess' trope for a genuine partnership built on bravery and shared values.
While it hits standard dragon-slaying beats, it subverts expectations by reimagining what a 'perfect match' looks like in a fantasy setting.
Extremely safe. It’s a gentle picture book with standard fairy tale peril (a dragon) that is resolved through teamwork. No hidden agendas or scary content.
Excellent for normalizing LGBTQ+ relationships for young kids without turning the book into a lecture. It’s just a story about love, which is the best way to teach it.
