This is the definitive version of the Austen classic. If your kid is into 'enemies-to-lovers' tropes or sharp-witted heroines, this 1995 miniseries is the source code. It's long, it's talky, and it's absolutely brilliant.
While the 2005 Keira Knightley movie is a fun, fast-paced 'greatest hits' version, the 1995 show has the room to let the characters breathe. It’s a great pick for a rainy weekend marathon, provided your kid doesn't mind reading between the lines of a lot of polite conversation.
