Nebula is the thinking person's streaming service. If your kid is aging out of PBS Kids and you’re dreading the inevitable descent into the YouTube algorithm, this is a fantastic alternative. It’s filled with creators who are actually experts (or at least very dedicated nerds) in fields like history, science, and urban planning.
However, the platform's refusal to implement basic parental controls is frustrating. It’s 2026; a simple 'hide this channel' button or an age-gate shouldn't be too much to ask for $60 a year. You’re paying for the quality of the library, not the safety of the UI. If you have a teen who loves learning, it's a no-brainer. If you have a younger kid, you're the remote.
