This is the rare licensed superhero game that's actually good—Firaxis brought real tactical depth instead of phoning it in. The card-based combat is clever, the character relationships add heart, and the strategy is legitimately challenging.
That said, it's not for every Marvel fan. The pacing is slow, the themes are dark (demons, occult stuff, supernatural horror), and you need to actually enjoy turn-based tactics. Kids expecting Spider-Man PS4-style action will bounce off hard.
The T rating is accurate—mild blood, some swearing, and demon imagery that's spookier than your average MCU movie. But if you've got a teen who loves strategy games and can handle Doctor Strange-level darkness, this is a strong pick that actually respects their intelligence.
