Journal 29 is a brilliant piece of analog-digital hybrid media. It’s essentially a workout for the prefrontal cortex.
If you have a kid who likes Minecraft redstone, LEGO Technic, or mystery novels, this is a home run. It’s not 'educational' in the boring school sense, but it demands a level of critical thinking that most modern entertainment ignores.
Just be prepared for them to ask for your phone to check their answers every five minutes, or better yet, sit down and try to solve a few with them. It’s one of the few items that actually lives up to the 'interactive' label without feeling gimmicky.
