This is what a great baby book looks like: simple, sweet, rhythmic, and genuinely inclusive without making a big deal about it. The illustrations give babies something engaging to look at, the text has a pleasing cadence that won't drive you insane on the 50th read, and it models love and care in a dozen different family configurations.
It's not going to change your life or teach quantum physics, but for the 0-3 set, it does exactly what it needs to do—and does it well. The 4.8 Amazon rating and The Strategist recommendation back this up. Also, the fact that it got challenged in Florida in 2022 is both hilarious and telling: if this book is too controversial for you, the problem isn't the book.
Solid baby shower gift, excellent addition to any infant/toddler library, and a book you won't mind reading 800 times.
