A friendly, free introduction to Elton John for a kid who likes his songs: challenges set to his hits, trivia, scavenger hunts, and avatar outfits based on his real stage costumes.
It peaked with a live in-game concert in November 2022 and has been quiet since, so expect empty servers. The shop sells outfits and emotes for Robux.
Fine for about 8 and up, and nothing in it needs a content warning. It suits a kid who already knows a few Elton songs, from a parent's playlist or from Sing, where Johnny sings "I'm Still Standing."
A celebration of Elton John's music and his flamboyant stage wardrobe, built around self-expression. Nothing in it is crude, violent or scary.
Dressing avatars in feathers, glasses and sparkly suits invites some style play, but the challenges and scavenger hunts follow set paths.
Free to enter, with a shop of limited items, outfits, eyewear and emotes for Robux, and public chat. It is quiet now, so empty servers are more likely than crowded ones.
Song challenges and trivia introduce kids to a songwriter whose catalog spans five decades, and the outfits nod to real moments in his career.
Elton John opened Beyond the Yellow Brick Road on Roblox in November 2022, timed to his final shows at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. His company Rocket Entertainment made it with Roblox creators and support from Universal Music Group. Players follow a yellow brick road through a world inspired by his life, with his stage wardrobe and photos from memorable moments placed along the way.
The activities are gentle: challenges set to his best-known songs, daily scavenger hunts, trivia quizzes, and yellow bricks to collect as currency. The draw for many kids is the closet. More than 20 Roblox creators designed a fashion collection based on his outfits and eyewear, including the uniform he wore at Dodger Stadium in 1975, with free pieces made with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Major League Baseball.
From November 17 to 20, 2022, a ten-minute virtual performance played inside the experience and re-aired every hour, and VIP fans could get a message from Elton and see their avatar on stage at his last Dodger Stadium show. That weekend brought its busiest moment, about 5,100 players at once. It has close to 3 million visits in total, and only a handful of players in a typical month now. The real show is easier to watch: Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium.
The name causes mix-ups. It refers to Elton's 1973 album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour that ended in 2023, not to The Wizard of Oz or Wicked. A kid who likes "I'm Still Standing" from Sing will recognize the music here.
