This is competent, well-rated DreamWorks TV that does exactly what it promises: more dragons, more adventures, more Hiccup. The 8.2 IMDb rating isn't lying—it's genuinely well-crafted for its target audience.
That said, it's also eight seasons of a Netflix spin-off from 2015. The animation is fine but not Pixar-level. The stories are episodic and formulaic. If your kid is obsessed with HTTYD, this is a safe bet that will teach decent values and keep them entertained. If they're not already fans, there are probably better uses of screen time.
The WISE score reflects solid execution in a narrow lane: it's wholesome, reasonably imaginative within IP constraints, very safe, and moderately enriching. But it's not appointment viewing for anyone over 10 unless they're deep in the fandom.
