Look, this is a ticket-buying app. It does what it says on the tin: you buy movie tickets, you track your rewards points, you order overpriced popcorn from your phone. There's a kids mode, which is nice, but this isn't exactly enriching screen time.
The WISE score is middling because the app itself is neutral—it's a tool. The wholesome and safe scores are decent because AMC enforces age restrictions and the app doesn't push inappropriate content. But imaginative and enriching? Come on. This is a digital cash register.
If your family goes to the movies regularly, it's a useful utility. But let's not pretend downloading this app is a parenting win. The real decision is what movie you're buying tickets for.
