Zombies 3 is exactly what you'd expect from a Disney Channel Original Movie sequel-sequel: bright, bouncy, safe, and delivering the same inclusion message with slightly diminishing returns. The franchise has now welcomed zombies, werewolves, and aliens into Seabrook High, and while the metaphor for accepting those who are different remains wholesome and well-intentioned, it's starting to feel like a formula.
The good news? It's utterly harmless. The bad news? It's also pretty forgettable. If your kid is a franchise devotee who's been waiting for this installment, they'll enjoy the musical numbers, the cheer competition, and seeing Zed and Addison's story continue. The college scholarship storyline adds a nice achievement angle. But if you're coming in fresh or hoping for something with more depth or originality, this is cotton candy—sweet, colorful, and gone from memory quickly.
It's a solid rainy-day watch for the tween set, especially if they're in that Disney Channel sweet spot. Just don't expect it to break any new ground or stick with them long after the credits roll.
