Let's be real: this is a movie for a very specific audience. If you have a 14-17 year old who's already deep into DC lore and loved Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, they'll probably think this is the greatest thing ever made. The rest of us are sitting here wondering why we need four hours to watch superheroes punch CGI monsters.
The good news: it's genuinely better than the theatrical Justice League, with actual character development (Cyborg finally gets a real story) and a coherent plot. Snyder's vision is distinctive and ambitious.
The reality: it's bloated, self-indulgent, and exhausting. The slow-motion fetish is real. The aspect ratio makes it feel like you're watching through a mail slot. And did I mention it's FOUR HOURS?
For families, this is a tough sell. It's too dark and long for younger kids, and most adults will tap out around hour two. But for that teenage DC superfan in your house? They'll probably want to watch it twice. Just make sure you've got snacks and a bathroom break planned.
