Wondery+ is that rare thing: a podcast app with legitimately great kids content that actually delivers on educational value. Shows like Wow in the World and Greeking Out are engaging, funny, and teach real stuff. The problem? It's packaged inside an app designed to push binge-worthy true crime and adult content.

If you're willing to do the work—set up kids mode, build curated playlists, or hand your kid a device with only the Kids & Family section bookmarked—this is genuinely excellent. Screen-free, ad-free (with subscription), and enriching. But if you're looking for a set-it-and-forget-it solution, Wondery+ isn't it. One wrong tap and your 8-year-old is hearing about medical malpractice scandals.

Bottom line: Great tool for intentional parents who curate. Risky for families who hand over devices without guardrails.
