Varsity Tutors is essentially the Amazon of the education world: it’s convenient, massive, and gets the job done, but it can feel a bit impersonal and corporate. It’s a solid choice if your kid has a specific academic hurdle to clear or a test to crush, but it’s not a magic bullet for a kid who is fundamentally disengaged from school.
The real value here is the access to niche expertise, but you have to be an active manager. Don't just set it and forget it—keep a close eye on the billing statements and make sure the tutor-student chemistry is actually there. If it feels like a slog, it probably is.
