Look, 2017 gave us some great movies. This wasn't one of them.
Unlocked is the definition of a forgettable streaming filler—the kind of movie you put on when you're folding laundry and need background noise. The 6.25/10 rating is actually generous. It's not offensively bad, it's just... there. Generic spy plot, no standout moments, nothing memorable.
For families? Hard pass. This is adult action content with violence and terrorism themes. For adults? There are literally hundreds of better spy thrillers. Watch any Bourne movie again. Rewatch The Americans. Heck, watch a mediocre episode of 24. You'll have a better time.
The WISE score reflects both the adult-only content AND the reality that even adults probably won't enjoy this much. It's the cinematic equivalent of plain oatmeal—technically food, but why would you choose it?
