This is exactly what you'd expect from a Trolls holiday special: bright, musical, positive, and utterly predictable. At 26 minutes, it won't overstay its welcome, and it genuinely models some nice values around thoughtful gift-giving and cultural exchange.
That said, the ratings tell the real story—6.2 on IMDb and 3.2 on Letterboxd means even fans found this pretty forgettable. It's the television equivalent of holiday elevator music: pleasant enough while it's on, completely unmemorable five minutes later.
If your kids are Trolls fans and you need something festive that won't rot their brains or stress them out, this fits the bill perfectly. But don't expect anyone to be quoting it at dinner or asking to watch it again next year. It's fine. Aggressively, determinedly fine.
