This is legitimately one of the better Transformers adaptations—way more coherent than the Michael Bay movies and with actual character development. The CGI was impressive for 2010 TV and mostly holds up, though it's starting to show its age.

The show does what it's supposed to: giant robots fight, kids get invested in the characters, and there's enough plot to keep parents from losing their minds. Optimus Prime is genuinely inspirational without being preachy, and the action is exciting without being gratuitously violent.

That said, it's 15 years old now, and while it's not unwatchable, it doesn't have the polish or pacing of modern animated shows. Kids who are already into Transformers will love it. Kids who aren't might find it a bit slow or dated compared to what they're used to on Disney+ or Netflix.
