Tower Heist is the definition of 'fine.' It's not offensive, it's not brilliant, it's just... there. The premise—working guys rob their billionaire boss after he Ponzi-schemes their pensions—has potential, but the execution is forgettable enough that audiences gave it a 48% while critics shrugged and said 'sure, 67%.'
The bigger issue is that it's now 14 years old and feels every minute of it. The comedy style, the pacing, even the way heist movies are shot has evolved. Your teen might sit through it, but they're not going to be excited about it.
From a WISE perspective, it's ethically murky (theft as heroism), creatively bland (standard heist formula), moderately safe (PG-13 stuff), and minimally enriching (could discuss financial fraud, but that's about it). If you're looking for a family movie night pick, there are dozens of better options. If it's already on and you need something inoffensive in the background, it'll do the job—just don't expect anyone to remember it tomorrow.
