This is what educational screen time should look like: no ads, no manipulation, just well-designed interactive models of how the world works. Tinybop apps are the rare breed that parents can hand over without guilt and kids will actually learn from—not just zone out to.
The iOS-only limitation is frustrating (sorry, Android families), and the subscription model means you're paying for access rather than ownership. But if you've got an iPad and a curious 5- or 6-year-old, this is one of the best bets for turning 'I'm bored' into 'Did you know sloths only poop once a week?'
It won't replace hands-on science experiments or nature walks, but it's a solid supplement—and miles better than the ad-riddled, gamified garbage that dominates the App Store. Just know that by third or fourth grade, most kids will have moved on to more complex stuff.
