Three Billboards is a gut-punch of a movie that doesn't care if you like its characters. It's brilliant, but it's also incredibly heavy. If you're looking for a tidy story where the bad guys get caught and the good guys win, this isn't it.
It’s a film about the messiness of human emotion and the limits of the law. For a parent watching with an older teen, it's a goldmine for discussions about ethics and anger, but make sure you're ready for the R-rated reality of it all.
