If you’re looking for the next Jaws, keep swimming. Thrash is a mid-tier survival flick that tries to play the 'sharks in a storm' trope straight, but critics and audiences are mostly finding it a wash. It’s essentially Crawl with fins instead of scales, but with less heart and more blood.
For most families, this is an easy skip. It’s too intense for younger kids and probably too generic for parents who want a movie that actually has something to say. If you absolutely love creature features and have a Netflix sub to burn, it’s there, but don't expect a masterpiece.
