Look, this is a niche show for a niche audience. If you're a parent who loved 'The Woman in the Window' or devoured 'Gone Girl' and wants to watch a send-up of that whole genre, this might give you a few chuckles. Kristen Bell tries her best.
But here's the truth: the reviews are mediocre for a reason. A 45% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 2.9 on Letterboxd means most people didn't love it. The satire is heavy-handed, the jokes get repetitive, and by episode 5 you might be hate-watching just to see how it ends.
For families? Absolutely not. This is adult content through and through—graphic violence, constant drinking, dark themes. Even for adults, it's a 'watch if you're really bored and have Netflix' situation, not a must-see. The WISE score reflects that this is both inappropriate for kids AND not particularly great entertainment even for its target audience.
