Let's be real: this isn't for kids, and most teens won't care about it either.
The Tonight Show is perfectly fine adult entertainment—Fallon is likable, the games are occasionally clever, and it's less cynical than other late-night options. But it's designed for adults who want to unwind with celebrity interviews and topical humor before bed.
For families, the bigger question is whether anyone under 30 actually watches traditional late-night TV anymore. The format feels increasingly dated in a world of YouTube clips and TikTok. Your teen is far more likely to see a viral 30-second clip from the show than sit through a full episode.
If your 14-16 year old wants to watch it, fine—there's nothing particularly harmful here. But don't expect it to be enriching or even that engaging. It's background noise TV from a different era.
