This is the gold standard of 1970s disaster cinema. Unlike modern disaster movies that rely on pixels and world-ending stakes, this feels intimate, sweaty, and terrifyingly real because the actors are actually crawling through cramped, flooded sets.
It’s a great pick for a family movie night if you want to show your kids that 'old' movies can still be white-knuckle experiences. Just be prepared for a few 'why is their hair like that?' comments and some dated dialogue.
