Let's be real: The Pink Panther 2 is a cinematic face-plant. With a 13% critic score and a 42% audience score, this sequel manages to disappoint pretty much everyone who watches it.
The movie is safe enough—no scary content, no inappropriate material beyond some mild romantic innuendo—but it's also aggressively mediocre. Steve Martin does his best with tired material, but the jokes fall flat, the plot is forgettable, and the reliance on cultural stereotypes feels increasingly uncomfortable in 2025.
The biggest issue? It's just boring. Even kids, who will usually tolerate mindless comedy, might check out halfway through. There are dozens of better family comedies that are actually funny, actually clever, and actually worth your time.
Unless you're trapped on a long flight with limited options or you've literally watched every other PG-rated movie on your streaming service, skip this one. Your family will thank you.
