This is essentially a 'beach read' in TV form. It’s polished, well-acted, and perfectly fine, but it never quite reaches the heights of other Apple TV+ thrillers. It’s a decent pick for a weekend watch with a teenager who likes a mystery that focuses more on relationships than jump-scares.
The real win here is the lack of cynicism. Even though the husband has disappeared and everything is a lie, the show stays focused on the two women left behind trying to do the right thing for each other. Just don't expect a fast-paced thriller; it takes its sweet time getting to the point.
