Look, the premise is clever: everyone dies, Will Forte is alone, hilarity ensues. Except it's not that hilarious, and the darkness of 'literally everyone you know is dead' hangs over everything.
The show had its fans and some genuinely funny moments, but it also got cancelled after 4 seasons with a cliffhanger ending, which is frustrating. Phil Miller is meant to be a lovable loser, but he's often just... annoying and selfish, which makes it hard to root for him.
For parents: this is absolutely not for kids. The whole 'humanity is extinct' thing is nightmare fuel, and there's adult content throughout. For adults looking for dark comedy? It's fine, but there are better post-apocalyptic shows out there, and knowing it doesn't have an ending makes it hard to recommend investing the time.
The WISE score reflects that while it has some creative merit, it's not particularly wholesome, enriching, or even that safe (emotionally) to watch. Plus, that unresolved ending stings.
