The Death Cure is the action-packed, slightly messy conclusion to the Maze Runner trilogy. It doesn't have the tight, claustrophobic mystery of the first book, but it doubles down on the stakes and the ethics.
It’s a quintessential YA dystopian read: high emotions, lots of running, and a 'the adults are lying to us' vibe that resonates perfectly with teenagers. Just be prepared for your kid to be a little depressed when they finish it—Dashner doesn't pull his punches with the ending.
