Look, I'll be straight with you: this show was a mess. The 79% critic vs 19% audience split tells you everything—critics appreciated the attempt at moral complexity, but actual viewers found it boring, poorly paced, and a betrayal of what makes Star Wars work.
The content itself is fine for teens 14+. Violence is present but not gratuitous, language is mild, and the darker themes could theoretically be enriching. But here's the thing: none of that matters if the show is unwatchable. And for most people, it was.
If your teen is a die-hard Star Wars fan who wants to form their own opinion or understand the discourse, fine—let them try an episode. But don't feel bad when they tap out. This became more famous for being controversial than for being good, and that's not a recipe for quality family viewing. There are so many better ways to spend eight hours on Disney+.
