Terrible Tudors is a classic for a reason. It’s the antithesis of the dry, dusty history textbook. Terry Deary understands that kids care more about how people went to the bathroom and how they got their heads chopped off than they do about trade treaties.
It’s fast-paced, irreverent, and genuinely educational. Even though it’s been around for decades, the 2009 edition still feels fresh because the humor is timeless. If you want a book that your kid will read under the covers with a flashlight, this is a safe bet. It’s 'educational' in the way that a cool uncle explains things—a little bit inappropriate, very funny, and impossible to forget.
