This is the documentary equivalent of your friend who won't stop talking about how Facebook is listening to your conversations—important message, but exhausting delivery.

It's educational, well-made, and tackles a genuinely critical topic: privacy in the digital age. The problem? It's from 2013, which in tech years is the Jurassic period. The examples feel dated (remember when we cared about Facebook privacy policies?), and it doesn't cover the modern nightmare of TikTok, AI scrapers, or location tracking on every app your kid uses.

For teens who are old enough to care about privacy but young enough to think they're invincible online, this could be a solid reality check. But let's be real: most kids will find it dry, preachy, and about as entertaining as reading the actual Terms and Conditions. It's homework viewing, not Friday night popcorn material.

If you want to spark a conversation about digital privacy with your teen, this is a decent tool—but you'll need to supplement it with current examples (like how TikTok knows their exact location, or how Instagram ads seem to read their minds). Otherwise, it's just a time capsule from the early smartphone era.
