Superliminal is the closest thing we have to a playable M.C. Escher painting. It’s a brilliant, quiet, and deeply clever puzzle game that manages to be both a brain-teaser and a surprisingly grounded lesson in mental health.

It’s a fantastic alternative to the high-octane chaos of Roblox or Fortnite. If your kid liked Portal but found it a bit too cynical or difficult, this is the perfect next step. It’s safe, it’s smart, and it’ll leave them (and you) staring at the furniture in your living room wondering if it’s actually six inches tall or just really far away.

Best for ages 8 and up. While it's rated E for everyone, the spatial puzzles require a level of abstract reasoning that younger kids might find frustrating rather than fun.
