If your kid is into Mario, this is a slam dunk. It’s thick, it’s colorful, and it’s official.

Be aware that as of 2026, this book is effectively a history project. It doesn't cover the Switch's best years or the recent cinematic universe, so it feels a bit like reading a world map from the 90s.

Still, for a physical object that keeps a kid occupied without a Wi-Fi connection, it’s top-tier. It’s the kind of book that actually stays on the shelf instead of ending up in the donation bin after a week.
